Terms and Conditions for Contests

Welcome!

Apparently, there's something to win again, otherwise you wouldn't have landed on our lovingly hidden terms and conditions. By the way, it's a great move from you that you're actually interested in the conditions; most people never click on this stuff. Or they click on it but don't read the text. Or they just scroll all the way down hoping for a super short summary (which, of course, we also have).

Not you, though! Because you are something special! That's also evidenced by a study from the renowned Birnbaum Institute, which found that only 0.24 percent (in words: zero point two four) of all living people attentively read the contest terms and conditions. So, feel free to pat yourself on the back.

Done patting? Then let's get started.

We don't create these terms and conditions just for fun. It's about protecting ourselves from malicious individuals and being able to present a good excuse in case of a situation. We apologize in advance if it gets a bit technical in the following. That's just the nature of these texts. Where were we again?

Right, contests. Since we share almost all contests on Facebook, we need to point out that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Mark Zuckerberg or his company. Facebook doesn't sponsor us and isn't involved in organizing anything about the contest. The same goes for Instagram, which isn't really surprising since the company is owned by Facebook. In both cases: the companies don't get the data you provide. That belongs solely to us. Speaking of which:

The data you provide will only be used for the contest. Essentially, it's about being able to contact you in case of a win and having an address to send the respective prize. Additionally, you might receive an email about participating in the contest. Now, about emails: There are people who feel super clever and participate multiple times in a contest. They simply use different email addresses to increase their chances of winning. That's not cool, and we believe it's pretty mean to everyone else. Therefore, this shameful practice is completely prohibited.

Back to the data: Please make sure that your information is correct. If we can't send a prize due to incorrectly entered data or a package doesn't arrive, unfortunately, your claim to the prize will be forfeited. So, it's better to read through everything again before submitting your data. Regarding the prize, we'd like to mention that an exchange, for whatever reason, is not possible. The same goes for cash payout. Let's be honest, you participate in a contest to snag the specified prize, right?

So, who can actually participate? The bad news first: not everyone. We're really sorry about that, but it's just how it is. The good news: there are no terrible requirements. Everyone who is at least 13 years old and has a valid postal address and a fixed residence in one of the following countries can participate: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary, or Cyprus - hopefully, we haven't forgotten anyone while typing this. However, employees (ours), partners, retailers, and pretty much everyone involved in the execution of the action are not allowed to participate. If you're included, you probably already know that.

We've hinted at it, but for the sake of completeness: The prize will only be sent within the aforementioned countries. Once we've sent the package, we're no longer responsible. Well, we're actually always responsible, but what is meant is: The risk of accidental deterioration or loss of a package is entirely on you. Unless we personally deliver something, which doesn't really happen. But seriously, there are usually no problems in this regard.

To all wizards and Potterheads: The prior intake of Felix Felicis is explicitly prohibited! Neither are you allowed to take the potion when directly participating in the contest nor when the winning person is drawn.

By participating in the action, participants automatically accept these terms and conditions. In the event of a violation or an attempt at technical manipulation, the respective individuals may be excluded from the contest.

Final Provisions

The exclusively applicable law is the law of the Federal Republic of Germany.

And for the sake of safety, it's mentioned: The terms and conditions, including the contest mechanics, represent the final regulations for the action. If individual provisions are or become invalid, the validity of the remaining terms and conditions shall remain unaffected. And, what contest veterans have been waiting for: legal recourse is excluded.

If you've actually held on until here: Thanks for your attention! Actually, you deserve a reward for that. So, here's a joke at the end, but a bad one.

Is BB hungry? No, BB8.

Aahahahahaha ... haha ... errr ... wow. Okay, bye!

TL;DR: You are at least 13 years old, don't work for Elbenwald, and don't do anything silly.
