We want all customers – whether rangers, wizards, or hobbits – to easily explore our online shop. That’s why we’re constantly working to make our site more accessible.
Scope
This accessibility statement applies to our website www.elbenwald.com and all associated subpages and services.
Current Accessibility Status
This website is not fully accessible according to our current technical standards and reasonable effort.
Implementation is being carried out step by step based on the requirements of the
BITV 2.0
and the WCAG 2.1 at compliance level AA.
Below are all currently known deviations:

Planned Improvements
The following requirements are currently being implemented:
- Adding and reviewing all image alt texts
- Introducing ARIA roles and landmarks for interactive elements
- Optimizing keyboard navigation including focus indicators
- Adjusting color contrasts in accordance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA
- Replacing text in images with HTML text for scalability
- Training our team on accessible design

Evaluation Method and Assessment
The evaluation was conducted internally as a self-assessment without a full BITV test.
Automated tools do not detect all barriers, especially those in dynamic or interactive areas.
