Data privacy

Privacy policy

Thank you for your interest in our website. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Below we inform you in detail about how we handle your data.

Storage of access data in server log files

You can visit our websites without providing any personal information. We only store access data in so-called server log files, such as the name of the requested file, the date and time of the request, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider. This data is evaluated exclusively to ensure trouble-free operation of the site and to improve our offer and does not allow us to draw any conclusions about your person.

Data collection and use for contract processing and when opening a customer account

We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order, when contacting us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail) or when opening a customer account. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide to process the contract and deal with your enquiries. After complete processing of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted after expiry of the retention periods under tax and commercial law, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use data beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you below. The deletion of your customer account is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a function provided for this purpose in the customer account.

Data transfer for contract fulfilment

In order to fulfil the contract, we pass on your data to the shipping company commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you select in the order process, we pass on the payment data collected for this purpose to the credit institution commissioned with the payment and, if applicable, to payment service providers commissioned by us or to the selected payment service. In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves if you create an account with them. In this case, you must register with the payment service provider with your access data during the ordering process. In this respect, the privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies.

Use of data when subscribing to the e-mail newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the data required for this purpose or separately provided by you to regularly send you our e-mail newsletter in accordance with your consent. Unsubscribing from the newsletter is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter.

Unsubscribe

Users who no longer wish to receive our email newsletters or other promotional emails can click on the "unsubscribe" link included in each email at any time. This gives you the option of not receiving any further messages.

Use of cookies

In order to make visiting our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your terminal device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your terminal device and enable us or our partner companies to recognise your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies), so that we can track your movements on our website and record and measure the success of certain marketing measures. We use this information to improve our website and our email newsletters, in particular by adapting our information and offers to the individual interests and needs of users.

You can object to the cookie-based collection and analysis of online data described above by clicking here (opt-out cookie). If you exercise this option, an anonymous "opt-out" cookie will be stored in your web browser, which informs our web servers of your objection and thereby prevents the collection of data. The opt-out cookie will remain effective in the browser you are using until you delete it using that browser's tools. However, if you delete the cookie or use a different browser or computer, we will no longer be able to detect that you have made such an objection.

Alternatively, you can set your browser not to accept cookies. In this case, you can still use our website, but access to some parts of the site may be technically restricted. For more information about cookies and your browser's cookie settings, please visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org or http://www.networkadvertising.org.

Link identification data

Our email communications may contain so-called hyperlinks ("Links"), which contain random but unique identification numbers. These identification numbers may be collected and stored by us (or by external service providers acting on our behalf, e.g. web analytics service providers) when your computer accesses these links in order to retrieve additional information from our servers. The identification numbers in these links will not be merged with your name, address or other personally identifiable information unless you have expressly permitted us to send you information specifically targeted to your interests. We use these links and information about the retrievals you make to track your use of our emails and website, and to track and measure the success of certain marketing efforts. We use this information to improve our website and email newsletters, in particular by tailoring our information and offers to users' individual interests and needs.

You can object to the collection and analysis of link data described above by clicking here (opt-out cookie).

IP addresses

We do not store or use your computer's IP address for marketing purposes. The IP addresses collected by our web servers are only stored for a very short period of time and are only used to detect and prevent misuse.

Credit assessment and scoring

If we make advance payments, e.g. in the case of purchase on account, we reserve the right to obtain identity and creditworthiness information from specialised service providers (credit agencies) in order to protect our legitimate interests. For this purpose, we transmit your personal data required for a credit assessment to the following company(ies):

payolution GmbH
Am Euro Platz 2
1120 Vienna
Austria

The creditworthiness information may contain probability values (score values) which are calculated on the basis of scientifically recognised mathematical-statistical procedures and in the calculation of which, among other things, address data are included. We use the information received about the statistical probability of a payment default for a weighed decision about the establishment, implementation or termination of the contractual relationship. Your interests worthy of protection are taken into account in accordance with the statutory provisions.

For the possible invoice & instalment purchase, the data protection provisions of our service provider also apply.

Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for web analysis

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc (www.google.de). Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that enable an analysis of your use of the website, such as so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer. The information generated about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. By activating IP anonymisation on this website, the IP address is shortened before transmission within the Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymised IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. As an alternative to the browser plug-in, you can click this link to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on this website in the future. This will place an opt-out cookie on your terminal device. If you delete your cookies, you must click the link again.

Use of Facebook Remarketing

Remarketing tags of the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA are integrated on our pages. When you visit our pages, the remarketing tags establish a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook thereby receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. This enables Facebook to assign the visit to our pages to your user account. We can use the information obtained in this way to display Facebook Ads. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook. Further information on this can be found in facebook's privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy. If you do not wish any data to be collected via Custom Audience, you can deactivate Custom Audiences here: https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads

The pseudonymised hash value of the e-mail address is used by Sovendus to take into account a possible objection to advertising (Art. 21 para.3, Art. 6 para.1 c DSGVO). The IP address is used by Sovendus exclusively for data security purposes and is usually anonymised after seven days (Art. 6 para.1 f DSGVO).
