The new life of Bronko the Brute and the healer Lysatrya could have been so beautiful. To hang up the heroic deeds and lead a tavern in peace and quiet in a small village in the Evergreen Valley - that was at least the plan.
But the heroic life cannot be shrugged off like a cloak worn for too long. Hardly have their former companions, the wizard Willibert and the thief Snarph, arrived for the inauguration celebration of Bronko's and Lysatrya's tavern, the settlement is visited by a magical curse.
